You can register your vehicle here

The Mount Horeb Police Department is now able to register and issue plates for cars, light trucks and motorcycles through a partnership with Wisconsin DMV and Computerized Vehicle Registration (CVR).  We offer this service to our community to make it easier for you to renew your vehicle license plates or obtain new metal plates for a vehicle purchased from a private party.  We can also help with application for vanity plates and special plates (e.g. Green Bay Packer plates, Ducks Unlimited, University of Wisconsin, etc.).

There is an additional fee for this service but you will find the convenience well worth it.  The fee for renewals is $10.00 and the fee for title transfers is $19.50.

We were recently notified that the DMV will be increasing fees for title transfers and license plates.  The following amounts will go into effect January 1, 2008:

DMV Service New Fee
 Title Transfer Fee $69.50
 Auto Plates $75.00
 Light Truck Plates (A - 4500 lbs) $75.00
 Light Truck Plates (B - 6000 lbs) $84.00
 Light Truck Plates (C - 8000 lbs) $106.00

No appointment is necessary.  For title transfers, simply stop by with your driver's license and the title (and lien release, if applicable) during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and we'll do the rest.  We are only able to accept cash and checks at this time.  We also encourage you to call ahead to make sure we are able to provide your DMV needs.
